Bring the data management community together and strengthen the Polish chapter's visibility.
Piotr’s contribution
As President of DAMA Poland, Piotr worked with Polish chapter and DAMA International colleagues to organise DAMA Day Warsaw 2025 from scratch.
Outcome
An event for sharing knowledge and experience, alongside initiatives that helped grow the community by 150% over two years.

Data strategy, policy and standards implemented, with initial lineage and quality solutions.

Connect data strategy with the controls, tools and stewardship needed for delivery.
Piotr’s contribution
As Head of Data Governance and Management, Piotr developed and implemented the strategy, policy and standards, established solutions using Solidatus, SelectZero and Datactics with custom connectors, and managed 30 data stewards.
Outcome
Minimum viable lineage and quality solutions, supported by stewardship across the Data Journey.

Governance foundations and metadata
People & Culture governance built from scratch, followed by an enterprise metadata concept.

Build People & Culture governance foundations and define an approach to enterprise metadata harvesting.
Piotr’s contribution
As Data Governance and Metadata Lead, Piotr introduced quality reporting and lineage, then developed a metadata harvesting concept for the enterprise data platform, working with Solidatus, Talend and Collibra.

Risk data lineage and quality
Lineage and quality controls for Global Risk Analytics, including probability of default.

Establish lineage and quality oversight for data used in risk models.
Piotr’s contribution
As Head of Data Management for Global Risk Analytics, Piotr established lineage using Solidatus, built a governance and quality repository, and oversaw quality rules for risk models.
Outcome
Lineage, a shared repository and quality rules supporting risk models, including probability of default (PD).

Deutsche Bank
Credit risk data quality and controls
IRBA data recovery and quality controls, supported by data ownership assignment, data flow tracking, data classification and data product creation.

Challenge
Deliver data recovery, system changes and integrity controls within the Internal Ratings-Based Approach programme.
Piotr’s contribution
As Head of the Data Quality & Coherence Office, Piotr managed 25 business and IT specialists and established automated and manual checks aligned with BCBS 239 requirements. His work also covered data ownership assignment, data flow tracking, data classification and data product creation.
Outcome
Data recovery and system changes delivered; no European Central Bank audit findings were raised in relation to this work.
